RE: order #10-22508
Dear Eric P. Poulsen:
I have received your response to my letter of complaint regarding the November 15th Chemical Bros. show at Hammerstein Ballroom. I am thoroughly disgusted that you have taken no action whatsoever to redress this situation. This is completely unacceptable.
In the letter you mention that the sales agent confirmed with me the venue, day/date & time of the show, number of tickets, and total charges. These points are moot, as the heart of my dispute involves none of these issues. However you state that the agent confirmed the location with me as general admission Mezzanine. This is a lie. The agent specified no distinction between Ballroom floor and Mezzanine and quoted me general admission Standing room only. You also claim that the agent acquired the best reservation available. This is also false, as I have since conferred with others who separately attended the same show and somehow received Floor tickets from you when they ordered at least a week later than I did. They were also not informed of the distinction in ticket types by your sales agent, but were lucky enough to have been arbitrarily given Floor tickets.
I understand that you have a policy where all sales are final, however this discrepancy is not due to my own failings, but negligence on the part of Ticketmaster. Services were not rendered as offered; therefore I demand my money back. You state in your letter that Ticketmaster collects no part of the price of each ticket sold. Does this imply that you are a non-profit service? I cannot believe that you have the gall to not even offer me the sum of Ticketmaster surcharges. However I will stand for nothing less than a full refund.
In speaking with one of your customer service representatives, I was told that I should have contacted you on this matter before the date of the event. You cannot be idiotic enough not to realize, however, that this matter did not arise until I arrived at the event on November 15th. Venue staff instructed me to call Ticketmaster – advice that was of no help at 11 PM on a Saturday night.
You are supposedly ‘unable’ to further assist me at this point, but I urge you to reconsider for the sake of resolving this matter simply. I am currently pursuing multiple avenues of outside assistance.
Sincerely,
<Fongaboo>
