Scooter Libby/MSNBC Drinking Game:

Everytime Chris Matthews says 'HULLABALOO', take a shot.

Now I am known as the resident sports illiterate at the news station where I work as a video editor. What's funny is I enjoy editing sports. From a cinematographical standpoint, sports is a lot more interesting to edit or watch than say.. stock reports.
But I'm not sure how many of my colleagues know how much of a sports philistine I am deep down. No disrespect to my comrades in sports television; the best friendships I have formed at work have ironically been with sports anchors... and, thanks to them, I have formed a vicarious appreciation for the sportlight that I didn't have previously.
But ultimately, I still find spectator sports of no import to me... and as we approach the New York State High School Basketball Championships my apathy is beginning to show.

This is due to one point of contemplation that came to mind while pouring through hours of local sports footage. As I watched sports reporters surrounding a high school basketball player and barraging them with questions, I wondered:
What else, short of shooting up the place, could you do in HIGH SCHOOL that would make reporters want to talk to you?
Just a thought from a sports curmudgeon..
