Thats what happens when you skip class to be a coke fiend slut I guess. A disgrace to our fine neighbors to the North, I'm sure.

I think its just annoying that shes a self proclaimed pop star that dresses hot topic punk and just has one of those faces you want to smash in with a brick.

I'm sure not the first person to say this, but so often a woman's worst enemy ends up being another woman. And this video is simply a youthful celebration (read: indoctrination) of that.

But it doesn't stop once you graduate high school. It's transcended even into the post-feminist world as you can see plenty of examples of such cattiness in today's workplace. Often you will see two women jockeying for career stature with the same ruthlessness we see Avril trying to snag a boy.. but I was surprised as I witnessed another permutation of the pheonomena: the female manager who makes life hell for her female subordinates.

Meryl Streep recently characterized this in 'The Devil Wears Prada'. Such icy behavior is expected in the fashion biz, but I can attest that it's not relegated just to the runway. I think you'll find evidence of this in today's co-ed workplace, regardless of industry.

I once remember hearing a ton of horror stories about a particular woman manager, but couldn't correlate it to my personal interactions with her. She was an all-business type of personality for sure, but she always dealt with me in a rational and respectful manner. At first I thought it was just a matter that I wasn't directly answerable to her, but then I realized I never heard any complaints from her male employees. It was only the women who regaled anecdotes of constantly being chastised, reprimanded and denied opportunities.

She somehow had such a defacto resentment for these young aspiring women. Who would have thought that the glass ceiling would actually have another girl on the other side sticking her tongue out, flipping the bird from above??

A guy who has only female friends is going to be pegged as gay, but it's because of what we're discussing here that a girl with only guy-friends simply indicates a girl that doesn't want to deal with this crap. Too bad said guy-friends secretly want to sleep with her.. :-P

I'm surprised that nobody has exposed Avril's past yet. A few years ago I met someone that knew her up in Canadaland before she was an "artist". He said she was a self-loathing teen coke-whore. She used to engage in 'group activities' with guys she barely knew as long as they got her high.

And this was before it was cool to be a teen coke-whore.
